Domain advice

Hi there
if I need to buy a domain which is .us but I’m not in US/don’t have a US business to link it, is there another way to do it?

From what I know, unless it has changed, you can register .us TLDs from Namecheap without any verification of US citizenship (I bought one from them about 2 years ago and while living in Sweden)

I have a .us domain and I'm not from usa. U can do it with namecheap

This is terrible advice.
If you register a .us domain, and if you do not actually have US nexus, then anyone can, at any time whatsoever, send a notification to the registrar, who will then ask you to prove nexus, you get like a month to write back. And if you do not, you lose the domain! It is delisted, as if you had let it expire, no grace period, no nothing.

It is extremely stupid to put work into something you can just lose any day randomly like that.
