Doing minisite

Hey all,

I am back in IM, i quit sometime ago, now i am back.

I am learning about mini sites from a course, where you target product brand name together with reviews/buy/where to buy keywords.

I don't know i just don't feel its a good model. I get tired doing all the keyword research stuff, but i can't make my mind yet. Can anyone help me in

that regard, to build my confidence. If anyone is doing this successfully, can we chat in skype, I need some motivation and need to focus myself.

Need some feedback from experienced people.

I would much rather go for a bigger authority, brandable type website in 2013.
Sniper websites are good, but need a lot of work to become profitable and are fairly easy to lose with every Google update.

If you are not too experienced then rather start with free blog sites like wordpress.com, blogspot.com etc because then you dont need to spend money on domains and hosting. Once you are a bit more experienced, get your own domains and get backlinks from those blogs. This way you can grow your online properties at a much safer pace.

I am looking for experienced people to show me what's possible over a chat, I am not asking to be spoon fed, just I need inspiration / motivation rather than doing it all alone, its a long bumpy road.
