Does anyone know what's happening to doge coin? It's worth 1/2 as much now as it was a week ago, think it'll pick up?

You shouldn't hold any alt coins. BTC is ok as most people believe it will rise eventually. The rest you need to buy/sell for profit rapidly, most all of them have downward trends (I think all the news on Doge about its nascar sponsor, etc. was the only thing prolonging this one) with short pumps here and there. They're good for buying and selling often day trader style. Holding it will lose you money.

The point is it was made as a joke. Well the jokes aren't funny anymore and it's tanking.

As the time passes by BTC are generated more and more, but it is also predicted that nothing more than 21 million BTC would be generated, hence it is such seen that by the year 2104 all BTC would be generated, if you compare the value of BTC to $ in the year 2012 to that of now you would find it has gone down by almost half.

Other alt coins present in the market like dodge coins, fedora coins and lite coins are just copies that came out of BTC production, hence I do not think the growing nature of these alt coins would be much long enough

What are you talking about? Bitcoin was worth around $15 in 2012, how is that half of its current $600 worth? Its true that its about half what its all time high was but that was a big spike, from $150-$1,200 in a couple of weeks, and it quickly dropped from that. Its been stable in the $575-$650 range for months now.

yes dogecoin hype is dead, with its never ending inflation rate.

yeah, I feel like it was all hype. I wasn't expecting it to rise drastically or anything but it still surprises me how quickly the doge coin fad has faded away.

I think it lasted way longer than anyone would have guessed. It's still not dead yet.

But if someone told me in December, Doge would have this much volume still, I would have never guessed.

Anyway, here is a funny comic.

After researching this I have found out that doge prices have plummeted due to an increased supply of doge, the top 100 richest doge wallets only have under 50% of the total doge supply. It is estimated that in 11 days when the rewards halve that doge will pick back up.
