Also interested in seeing how you can scale this out. Hard to see how the logistics will work once you have more than 100 accounts (getting to all of the sites, fuel, etc.) I assume you'd be hiring a staff? Anyways... good sh*t (pun intended)

I have been freed from my 9-5 so I really dont give two flying F$%!s haha.

Also doesnt mean I will be doing this forever, I always thought this would be a good starter business for me that would prepare me for my real ideas offline.

As for the other supporters, I have no doubt they are going to do something with thier life because they can see it is a real cash positive business.

And yes I have 50 clients this month here is how I advertised for the less creative people.

Placed posters in local and other pet stores, groomers, food, toys etc

Door hangers in targeted areas with dog owners, ( My city has areas where most people own dogs and are well off)

Walked around dog parks, areas, paths where owners take thier dogs and did some face-face marketing in the form of giving them promotional dog treats and talking a little bit about my business.

Used my IM skills and scarped some targeted local FB dog pages.

LOTS of social media

Refferals

After every house I place a little advert on the clients lawn saying I was there.

Also, I pay $10 monthly to a collector who collects my biodegradable garbage (food left overs, fruit peelings, etc...and also tampons LOL) monthly and that's pretty much similar thing to scooping dog poops.

I hope once you get rolling that you will join apaws, the only national trade organization for the professional pooper scooper. It's a great business for any metropolitan area. And yes, the previous poster hit the nail on the head...once you get 100 customers or so, you start hiring. (Of course, that's when the headaches begin lol) There actually about 700 professional scoopers nationwide. Good luck!

When infected dog poop comes into contact with your lawn, the poop will eventually "disappear", but the parasite eggs can linger for years! When a human or animal comes into contact with that soil through everyday activities like walking barefoot, gardening or playing, they risk infection from those eggs ... even years after the poop is gone.

5. Pet waste is teaming with E. Coli and other harmful bacteria including fecal coliform bacteria, which causes serious kidney disorders, intestinal illness, cramps and diarrhea in humans. (There are 23 million fecal coliform bacteria in a single gram of pet waste!)

6. Dog poop often contains roundworm larvae, which cause blindness. If a human ingests a roundworm larva, it can migrate through the body causing disease to the brain, lungs, kidneys, liver, heart or eyes. So when people (especially children) touch soil, dog toys or anything that has been in contact with dog feces and then touch their mouths, they can become infected.

Dog poop doesn't just "wash away" or disappear. So if you're not disposing of your dog's waste, you're putting yourself, your family, your dog and your water supply at risk.
