Does ZERO JUICE LINKS always indicate low competition?

I have been using LTP for the past few days, trying to find some keywords for my niche, and I have come across some gems .. I think!

From all of the keywords I have bought and seen that are considered 'Low Competition', it's because they have very low "Juice Links" on LTP.

I have found at least 20+ keywords that all have 2000 - 10,000 searches a month, and some have 1 Juice Link average, and some have none at all.

These aren't baby keywords either .. I found one with 3000 searches, and it's a $800 - $1000 products on Amazon.

KC says 33, but all of the top 10 have only a few links, and none of them have any Juice Links .. ZERO!

Is that a gem of a keyword? Or am I putting too much weight on the importance of those "Juice Links"?

Manually check the link profile of the sites ranking for the keyword.

They could be using PBN's and if the keyword brings good money it could be a big PBN.

The majority of the top results are either Amazon (Individual products, not categories), Forums, YouTube vids, and general authorities in this niche, who seem to be ranking out of domain authority.

Great, you can out rank them if they don't have many links directly to the page.

If youtube vids, forums and q/a sites are ranking on 1st page, it's an easy keyword. I would go for it/them.

Does 0 juice links always indicate low competition? The simple answer is: No.

Actually that's a wrong assumption that many people make, many authority sites with 0 links can outrank a site that has many strong PBN links pointing to it. You need to know many more factors to make a correct judgement.

Authority is a huge factor here in my opinion

I thought I had found an easy niche with LTP, but the affiliate site in the top 10 for a search volume of 40000 has a pbn behind it. This was a new site and the metrics that LTP are using are from Moz, which updates slowly.

Good finds though, worth looking into!
