I created a new youtube account and uploaded a couple of videos and waited 10hours but none of them show up on youtube search results. Does youtube shadowban videos?

I'm pretty sure YouTube does as this has happened to me before on one video I blasted views with.

How do i avoid videos being shadow banned?

Wait up to 3-5 days, or even a week. I do that everytime I upload a video to see what its real rank. I do buy views, likes and comments though.

wouldnt be surprised. had a few videos of mine get views stuck after i botted 1 - 2 k views, where as my other videos average 10k - 30k

Happens if you bot too many views I think, especially on newer accounts.

Just isn't realistic that a new channel instantly gets thousands of views within the few next days after creation.

I did not buy any views... I just only uploaded the video with optimized keywords

Alright, might be because of the account being new then?

I would let them sit and see if they come up in a couple of days, maybe they are still being processed or whatever?

Have you verified the account too? I know there are some limitations for accounts that don't have a number verified on them.

You're probably doing something that YouTube thinks is unnatural.

Just wait for a couple days like what the people here are saying and see what happens. Keep frequent watch of your videos though.

I'd suggest giving it a couple more days before worrying about shadow bans. Sometimes YouTube can take time to rank a video :)

Regarding your keyword optimization; did you actually write a proper title, description and tags or did you stuff your metadata with your main keywords in a spammy way? Were any of these keywords associated with blackhat terms such as 'hack', etc.? Have you recently had any other YouTube accounts terminated on the same device as you created your new channel on?

In the case of ranking delays after boosting views and other metrics, I think that's more of an indexing issue over a shadow ban issue since in almost all cases this scenario seems to end with an appropriate ranking after a few days of it bouncing around or no where to be seen. I guess it makes sense; if YouTube does not expect a video on a fresh channel to get instant viral traffic it might take some time for it to crawl the video and take into consideration it's insane views/engagement then rerank appropriately.

This is good advice. YouTube used to be instant, now in some cases it can defintiely take a few days for a ranking to update. Similar to Google and other search engines in that sense.
