Does YouTube penalize duplicate video content?

Lets say I upload two videos that only show a wallpaper with my logo on it, but have different audio content, different tags, titles and video description.Will they rank bad since both have the same video content?

I'm not a youtube expert but they can know if they are the same. I suppose they don't like that

I doubt it will, I've taken someone else's montage and added 10 seconds to the end, and it did very well in search results and suggested videos

AFAIK, since u are adding different content and making the video will change the video hash. it will be safe and u can bypass the Youtube filters. To be on safe side, if you are trying to rank for the same keywords make sure to change the video category.

It sure does, not much into youtube but have noticed such things several times and wondered if they were doing ti get banned or smth. Got there in some time just to see those vids still at the channel with lots of views.
