So does Youtube care about duplicate content in description gathered from
Google wiki ?

Does it effect ranking?

I think Youtube care about Duplicate content, as Google Own Youtube and Google not like Duplicate Content..

It should since it is a search engine n it is run by google.

Yes, ofcourse, thats why you should write all the time content yourself, or your video wont get a good rank in google / yt

Yes try do spin the content a bit and rephrase it, also if you copy paste someones video convert it once thus making it a new file for yt, so you don't get Duplicated results.
