A few months ago i released a free program that used a p2p based system to increase views, it was working for a while then as more users used it less views were generated, but when users submitted other urls(myspace, websites...etc)it generated a lot of views. I closed the program and came to the conclusion that youtube blocks people from increasing views if they detect their ip has viewed a lot of urls. How many urls must an ip view in a given time period before it gets blocked? Also how long does youtube block the ip? Do they really use ips or do they use cookies instead? Because i'm thinking they can't use ips for the same reason they can't ip ban people.

If it was from watching too many videos then I don't think JS would work.

I'd like to know the results of this myself. So was this p2p system working up until the update they did back in December?
