I have one site with blog page. Some people have commented my blog and wrote their sitelink as well. If i approve the comment, does it help my site to rank better? Does it change my PR or something or just help his page to get backlinks?
If the comments have info. about cars and your keywords etc. are mentioned, then go ahead and approve it. new comments=new content in Google's eyes.
From what you say though, sounds like spam to me. If you see random comments with no relation to your niche, then that's just spam. People trying to get backlinks to their site.
Hope that made things clearer. Also, you always want to keep your comments approval on manual until you see these spam comments appearing nomore.
Before you start doing that you have make your site full of contents. Do some seo work wisely and you will be able to get your page rank along with your earnings.
To Skyflier, a approve manually, but what about if he comments like: nice post you got there.. i liked it and get good information.. and then he hit his own webpage url. Do you usually allow or not this kind of comments as they recommend your blog post, but still grow a package of their own backlinks for website?
Same here, I've been noticing a lot of "spammers" posting a quick, sometimes unrelated comment on my blog. I guess keeping their comment (but removing the URL) gives your site a sense of popularity to others? Nothing more?
yeah, unless it's related to my niche and has my keyword in it, they're out of their. So that's roughly one relevant comment to 400 spam, lol. oh, and as my main site has started climbing the serps, the comments come thick and fast.
