Does WP category URL matter? (Language)

Hi,

So, I'm getting a little crazy from trying to find a theme that is fully translated into Danish.
Mainly because most of them are outdated, and I really wanna use GeneratePress.

So, the questions is..
When I create a category, the URL for the site will be example.com/categori/post-title.
But the site is only in Danish, WP settings are set for Danish, but the URL (in my mind) should be example.com/kategori/post-title,

Does the English part in the URL make any difference at all, or is it just me that wasted 30 minutes of my life and need to move on?

yoast and rank math both have the option to remove the categories with the free versions.

than it would look like example.com/post-title.

But if i am correct, WP should have a default option for you to choose from

Where as %category% should be the categorys you set (if its in danish, it should be in danish)
