I'm new to owning an online store and was wondering if Woocommerce sends details of the items ordered to payment Processors. Say a customer buys some dildos and some straps. Will my payment Processor be able to see this information?

Yes payment processors will see it. Stripe does collect the meta data of the order. Woocommerce does pass it to your payment processors in my experience with Stripe, PayPal.

Yes, they are able to view this kind of detail

Payment processors typically see only the transaction amount, not item details. Check your gateway settings to confirm

If you want to hide your purchases from your partner, use a account, speaking from experiences ;)

This is what I was looking to avoid. Is there a way to prevent this data from being sent. I'm looking to sell digital keys but most payment Processors don't allow.

Is there a way to prevent this data from being sent or a method to replace the items with regular stuff when the data is being sent to the processor. Thanks

no way.
What you need is a white hat website for cloaking your blackhat website. Payment processors will see the meta data of white hat site only and they wont ban you for whitehat.

I used Stripe with Sellix where Sellix actually act as middleman and was great, until now Sellix got fedd, trying to find alternative. Sellix used woocommerc plugin but cant find anything similar around :(

We're in the same boat, found anything? I found one, but not good as sellix needed more alternatives xD

Nope spent almost whole day yesterday with testing and nothing, each require to embed products damn :( Need only checkout API that's all, which one you found you mind to share with me? Maybe I already tested lol

couldn't you send different item details to the payment processor? say someone orders item x, you have duplicate hidden item y with same price and different description. instead of sending request for purchase of item x to stripe, you send y.

not sure why you would want to though...

Yes thats cloaking, im bit broke for now to invest in that right now lol

Somebody can recommend good quality cloaker for stripe and Paypal on woo ?
Looks like there is nothing similar to sellix where you can work only with API for checkout on your site..spent 2 days to find anything a bit similar...

How would they see it though unless someone reports it.

Customer sees checkout page with dildos
Clicks on pay
Redirected to stripe with different items
Pays
Comes back with order id/confirmation

If checkout page and stripe redirect are separate then they shouldn't be able to see it right? Or am I missing something...

It appears as though the items ordered initially can still be seen on Stripe's end. Remember, most cart systems work in collaboration with Stripe. So even if you redirect, they can still see the whole process.. At least that's what I've gathered from the discussion and other people's experiences. I could be wrong though..

yeah bro, I regret to inform you, but your PayPal account manager already knows that you are buying dildos
You're telling me when I bought the 240 Volt FuckMaster Pro 5000 blowup latex doll with an optional built-in realistic orgasm scream surround sound system Paypal saw the order invoice?
