does Windows 10 ever stop installing updates?

Serious question.

It seems like every f**ing day it's begging me to schedule a reboot in order to install updates.. so i reset and they install them.

Click Network and Ethernet
Click on the connection (your WiFi name )
Click Advance Options Bellow
Check (on) set as metered connection
done

Windows 10 is a work in progress. It should not have been release as any other thing than a high level beta. That being said, other than setting your connection as a metered connection, you can only install Enterprise LTSB.

It's pretty shitty but it doesn't do that to me.

I just wiped my laptop and reinstalled it. I thought it was my laptop being buggy but nope. It was Windows 10. It's just a POS OS, but I'll put up with it. The alternative is Apple, and that's not about to happen.

You just saved me a headache. I had tried every other thing but they all failed. Ive had to set my computer to power saving mode to avoid auto updates. Thanks

Before you goto install or update windows 10 you first need to update your current op
then update to windows 10, it usally takes all night but by morning done.

Yep, learned it the hard way when I walked away one night (I never reboot my machines unless I have to) and woke up to all my work shut down and a reboot. Fuck you, MS. Shitty.

I read somewhere that you can stop it but it's tricky. Haven't researched how though.
