One thing I noticed is that black hatters smoke more weed than white hatters. It's simply because BH people care less about breaking rules and norms. I know most of you don't smoke, but there's an alright proportion.

Weed causes me to procrastinate on lots of things, but not IM. In the computer world, the ability to hyperfocus and get "locked in", while zoning everything else out is a benefit. I have some programmer buddies, who do much more intensive computer work than most IMers, and talk about the same thing.

But then again, if you don't really love IM, you're just going to get high and watch Hulu or play Starcraft. When you get high, you do what you love.

In the same way that there are functional and non-functional alcoholics, the same holds true for people who smoke reefer. Some people function very well on it and get lots of things done - and some people lose motivation and get very little done when they are smoking it.

Only YOU know which category you fall in. So with that in mind, if someone was to make a choice on your poll, it would only apply only to the individual, and would not apply to everyone in general.

I Strongly Agree with Wiz

I've been smoking for the past 2 years and I've experienced my best ideas in regards to internet marketing while high

I dont smoke often, however whenever I need to brain storm an new campaign

SMOKING DOES HELP

Stay away from CIGS tho, what good is making all this easy money online if you cant live to enjoy it

I'd agree with Wiz, but I will say alcohol completely kills my IM efforts, and is probably more of an impediment to IMers. Calmly staring at small text while analyzing just doesn't mix with alcohol and depressed brain functioning, but I'm sure it works for some.

Oh yeah, weed is great for IM ideas. I remember reading a study on how weed (in addition to mdma and psychedelics) increases the brain's use of remote association (the source of creativity... and schizophrenia). So you think of one thing, and connect it to 10 different things, instead of making only make a couple more shallow associations.

That's why I switched to e-cigs. They taste better and I'll live longer.

Drops the stress level of getting all my shit done and lets me work into the nite.

LOL Wiz, its been quite a few years since I've heard it called reefer. I COMPLETELY agree with what you just said.

I don't think there is a better way to work than with a clear head. Cannabis is a great way to brainstorm, but when it comes to doing some serious work, I choose a clear head.

who needs weed when you can be doped up on black tar heroine. as a matter of fact im hyped up on PCP.

lol wut.

I think it really helps while doing those monotonous tasks and can spark creativity when trying to think outside the box, however I find it way to moreish and can end up spending a ton of well earned cash on it. I do find myself getting distracted sometimes and having a blast on plants vs zombies :)

Huh?

On that note lets all take some lexapro and ambien. Thats what the good ol' doc prescribed me.

I'll take some good green plant over that shit any day.

EDIT: you must come from a very religious biased family. I can't even begin to try to argue with you.

lol it was a joke bro. no need to involve religion or family. I couldnt even imagine beginning to argue with you if you can come to such conclusions based on absolutely nothing. cheers.
