Does using an E-SIM work for geolocation lock?

Basically that,

I'm on the fence about purchasing an Iphone so I can start posting on TikTok for a US Audience.

Does the E-SIM method work? And if so, which E-SIM provider to go with?

Based on my research a lot of E-SIMs you can't even activate outside of the US so that would definitely be a problem.

If anyone has done this please let me know.
