Does Upwork have instant pay ?

Hey guys i just wanted to ask if i do a upwork project which is fixed price is it instant pay once the client pays or is it still 5 days waiting to clear the payment as i use to work there in 2018 but getting mixed info about the instant pay feature ?

There is no instant payment in Upwork. You should wait five days security period to withdraw your money.

It depends on the client.

They have the ability to clear the payment immediately but that rarely happens as they take a couple of days to go over your deliverables.

There are other clients though that just don´t give a f**k about it and just let the 5 business day period to end to Upwork automatically release the money hold in escrow.

Once you find regular customers, you can ask them to release payment instant after work.
