Does updating old posts really improve rankings?

I’ve been going back to old posts, updating dates, and adding new info. Sometimes rankings go up, sometimes nothing changes. What’s your experience?

Yes updating content helps in ranking. just dont update date only add some new current info.

Sometimes nothing changes if the update isn't meaningful or substantial.

Refreshing old posts with updated information can boost rankings, but results are not guaranteed some posts improve while others may stay unchanged.

Good question
I’ve noticed mixed results too, sometimes rankings bump up, sometimes nothing happens. Maybe it depends on how competitive the topic is.

Absolutely, meaningful updates are key refreshing with relevant data or new perspectives really makes a difference.

As long as current information is included, it helps boost ranking but it is not automatic.
