Does UK Sim cards work in Finland

I'm not sure if anyone is able to answer this question but I ask it anyway.

I have had this problem with expensive Sim cards for my IG accounts and I think the solution might be to buy cheap 1$ UK Sim Cards from eBay. However does any of you know do those Sim cards work only in UK? Can I just order them to Finland and use them normally for phone verifications?

If you want them for receiving messages sending messages or calls, they will more than likely need credit on them.
 
I think yes, both countries are in the EU so both countries should have universal roaming.
 
UK Vodafone PAYG cards seem to work for ages without adding credit. I'm outside of Europe and it's still working.

Awesome. How long do you think? Three months? Five months?
In Finland our 4€ Sim Cards last only three months and then you will have to buy 10€ credit for another three months. :D It gets pretty expensive per year if you plan to have hundred accounts. So I'm looking for more affordable option.

Do those Sim Cards have credit when you buy them or do you have to add credit to them?

Three PAYG cards are also working, use them for creating Google PVA accounts, Twitter, etc, etc, paid £25 pounds for hundred. Got them on eBay not had any problem whatsoever.

I don't remember exactly, I think it might depend on how often they are used rather than credit loaded, i.e. the SIM card needs to receive a call/text every xx months or something. The Vodafone SIM I have is more than a year old, I loaded £5 on it 2 months ago after my main phone was stolen. I use this SIM for phone verification for IM stuff regularly. I have a bunch of other SIMs from other networks which have just been in a bag for months, when I tried to use them they didn't work, inc. Vodafone. So I guess you just need to keep then active by calling/texting them every three months or so.
 
Vodafone works in Finland and probably other providers too. You don't have to add any credit to receive sms. Some of my cards still work though they are two years old.
