Really hashtagging is the way to go. Build your followers legitimately and then they will be more likely to buy your products. Doing it overnight is not going to get you sales. You need to build it.

well it depends on your niche. Have a targeted following and make real useful tweets and hay presto your following will believe what you say and you will be able to make money.

I did this at the start when twitter was newly launched it worked well then. But I have not done it for a while.
