Does Twitter ghost accounts?

Say if I were banned from spamming too much, would they just ban me, or do they ghost the account and I have no idea if I'm banned or not?

Hi, They don't ghost accounts yet, but might follow gumtree/craigslist on this, check the account via a proxy site to check

they're not ghosting (or it is not equal to CL ghosting), but sometimes they don't ban your account for spamming, they penalize you with removing all the tweets of that account from twitter search

is there anyway we can find this out for ourselves? i mean i use some throw away accounts for spamming, so it would be nice to know if my links aren't being tweeted

they're being tweeted, twitter is just removing that tweets from its search
so if you look for your account in the search, you cannot found any of your tweets, but your followers see them, they aren't physically deleted, just don't show up in the search

you can always use fake retweets with your links in it, so this way it looks like you aren't spamming your links, you just retweet somebody elses tweet:

"RT: @originalPoster your link"
