Does Tumblr still bring any traffic today?

I used Tumblr a few years back and it brought some decent traffic, but lately it feels much quieter. Just wondering if anyone is still using it actively and seeing real engagement, or if it’s mostly niche-focused now.

Tumblr traffic is smaller these days, but if your content fits a niche and you post regularly, it can still bring some real visitors.

I'm no longer using Tumblr because it's not as effective as before. I've switched to Pinterest primarily because it has a clearer user intent and more consistent traffic to the site. Tumblr still has its own niche, but for growth purposes, I find it no longer optimal.
 
Yes, Tumblr still sends traffic, but it’s niche dependent (art, fandoms, aesthetics, quotes). Not mass traffic anymore, but steady referral traffic if you post consistently and tag well.

Good info. It does look like Tumblr is on the decline. It used to be a very popular platform.

I don't have a ton of experience with Tumblr. What are Tumblr tags? Anything particularly different between them and tags on other social media sites?
 
Yes, but it’s much smaller now and mostly niche driven (art, fandoms, aesthetics). It can send traffic if you post consistently, but it’s no longer a major growth channel.
 
I hardly use Tumblr anymore because the traffic and engagement levels no longer align with my growth goals. There's still traffic, but it's quite fragmented and difficult to scale up. For me, Tumblr is currently more suitable for art and fandoms than as a primary channel for driving traffic
