Does Trust Flow affect Rankings?

Based on my experience, I have ranked on first page with domains that have TF of 0...so it doesn't matter at all..

It's a useful metric to look at, and I do use it to filter out domains that I want to investigate further for purchase, but it obviously it has its limitations as well.

When checking the back link profile of sites, I wouldn't consider it that unusual to find a site with a Trust Factor of 11 that has a better back link profile than a site with a Trust Factor of 20.

But as a rough guide, it's useful.

If there are authoritative, trustworthy backlinks to a site, then the greater is the trust flow.

Interesting question because I've been looking at this. It looks to me that what is much more interesting is the ratio of TF to CF, not just TF on its own.

I tend to ignore TF most of time as it can be manipulated with spammy links. The same goes to DA PA CF bla bla. You need to check the backlinks profile manually first.

In my experience, I can say TF and CF are not helped for ranking. the sometime site gets a higher ranking when TF and CF low and site goes down in ranking when TF and CF are high. DA and PA is the main thing for ranking. TF and FC will make you know trustworthy sources.

Google is not using Majestic metrics to rank sites, so they are worthless and should only be a pointer or as a starting point for you to analyse an expired domain.

Think of DA/PA abd TF as metrics to look at when getting backlinks.

if your backlink profile has trustworthy links...thats where google rates you as eligible for a SERP increase.

Your own domain metrics don't need such metrics if you aren't using it to link out to others.

my own site ranks from #1-5 for all my keywords, stats are all below 22. My competitors all have higher DA and TF but i'm ahead of them in rankings.

They occasionally work well enough to estimate SERP competition as well, although lately it seems both Moz and Majestic's flaws are becoming more prominent.

OP,

I wouldn't say TF by itself is a ranking factor, because as so many have stated, G wouldn't use a third party metric as a ranking factor. However, Google has its own way to calculate trust and it does play a role in ranking websites.

I came up with an acronoym to help myself remember, it's A.R.T.
Authority + Relevancy + Trust = Rankings

(I didn't come up with the formula but "I made it look good" by switching it into a acronym)

Not saying you can't fool G into thinking you have all 3. All you need is a PBN, SAPE & SPAM (Tier-2), Social Signals and a few Guest Posts/Editorial Links

No it doesn't.

It's supposed to show the power of a website and it kinda do that but it's not a factor to rely on 100%

It doesn't reflect penalties for example.

I have a TF 40 (non-spam) site with penalty that won't rank for anything.

Yes it affects rankings because;
Trust flow refers to number of quality backlinks referring to site.
So,Trust flow should be more for getting good rankings.

Trust Flow means its number of good quality backlinks to your site.
I think it will not affect your ranking.
If you have more number of TF links you will get good ranking.

Trust flow, citation flow, Page authority and domain authority which are all becoming Google's ranking factors.

Trust flow is number of trustworthy backlinks from other sites. So, Its affects ranking

Hi TrustFlow, CitationFlow is a metric that is made from MajesticSEO. It is not a direct reflection of googles metrics.

However that being said it is one of the indicators that professional SEOs use to gauge how their website is doing. Do crossreference with other tools like Semrush, AHrefs and MOZ.

But always remember to be building quality backlinks

When I was starting out, i crosschecked moz, ahrefs and majestic metrics every minute. today i do not. they are not dependable. what matters is what google thinks about your site and how they rank it

I absolutely believe that TF and CF are the most import metrics to check when spying on competitors or when buying expired domains. I have seen on many cases again and again that they are directly proportional to ranking of course the website should be good enough to with stand no 1 2 3 position as getting to no 1 is not the key, sticking there is the key.

Actually, Trust Flow metric is not affected your site ranking badly. It helps to build trust and make a move forward on the SERP page.
