Trying to make multiple accounts to see if one of them can go viral doing heating period. Is it necessary to have multiple phones, or is changing IP via resetting OK?

It is recommended to use multiple IPs, the safest is 4G mobile, or you can use emulators

yes , use real phone and do resets to create your tiktok acccounts

Looking at the amount of permissions it need, pretty sure they fingerprint everything possible including your pp size

Multiple phones would be best. But if all of them getting banned, you'll have to sell them and buy new ones, would be very costly.
Why not try using antidetect browser with 4g/ good proxies?
Would be cost-effective than phones or VMware.
Good proxies I know so far: oxylab, proxysite, 922...
Antidetect u can try (free limited profiles+ free trial 7days): Hidemyacc, dolphin anty, adspower...

and there you kinda have your answer .

A SIM-removable phone + 4G IP is definitely very good but you won't be able to scale :D

AFAIK it takes the install_id (generated on startup when the app is fresh installed), advertise_id run by google play services and I think also the device model and other things too

Well after some experiments I have to say that they indeed identify the device (not the IP) in some weird ways (not just install_id and advertise_id)...
