So I'm doing keyword research and I came across a review niche site. Nothing out of the ordinary, until the end. The guy types "Related Search Terms", and then underneath there is a list of 15 keywords he wants to rank for that are related, which he never mentions in the article. For example Dust Devil 245 Review, Best 245 Vacuum, Best 245 Dust Devil, etc.

I checked and he's ranked top 5 for all of them. Found an identical site which looks like is made by the same guy, same exact thing. Is this a good idea? Do a quick keyword planner scrape of the product and plug the keywords at the end of an article that way?

it can be a good idea but putting 20 keywords, I would not suggest. Its good if its done properly and within limit ..like 4/6 terms. There's a plugin in wordpress which does the same for you..I think.
 
Yeah! I have seen this on many PPD landing pages. I would like to know this as well.
 
It's keyword stuffing, and it's not a good idea. Sure a few keywords here and there won't hurt, and the higher authority your page has, the more likely you'll be to rank for those keywords.

But why not actually put a bit more effort in, and make at least a whole page for each keyword, and rank each one like that? It's safer.

PHPbuilt says in his guide that you do not want to create new pages for closely related terms
 
I believe he uses certain plugins that create that kind of 'keywords list'
I can't remember the plugins name, though
search terms something...
 
It is a great idea for churn and burn sites. For something long term, not that much.
 
Haha, I have to admit using that one myself several times (um, which site were you looking at?!). I does work, but it's risky business. Best trying that on YT videos and blogs.
 
Jamming a bunch of keywords at the end of an article is a horrible 2005 tactic and not good for the long term.

It can work for the short term but keyword density is very
important and can cause your site to be slapped if you over
optimize it. Focus on checking your keywords and mingling them
in naturally.
