Does this website manipulate Google search results?

Accidentally saw this website. Couldn't find the article they shared somewhere so, I used their own search engine with the keyword.

https://www.stylecraze.com/search-results/?q=sprays&sa=Search

When we hover over the result, it gives us the final destination link. But when we click on it, we automatically go through Google's search engine and finally finish where we should've in the first place. I knew some of you guys used to do this before (different users clicking on the exact same result), but I thought this kinda thing is long over because Google is too smart for something like that.

Or maybe this website is totally innocent and they just incorporated Google on their website which won't boost their brand on the search engine at all, no matter how many clicks they get this way... Just seemed kinda fishy.

Just noticed the logo "enhanced by Google" in the footer.

Thats googles custom search?
They are just using google to power the search results so it does go through google

Pretty clever IMO. Parasite redirect hybrid.
 
My question is, will it help them rank better?
 
No, I doubt. Been using for one of my websites and it just doesn't help to boost rank or anything. I could give you some revenue from people using that search.
 
This is what I mention yesterday, is Google adsense enhance feature on google search.

If only everyone read the actual post, stayed on topic and didn't try to troll. :)

Anyways, I was only wondering, not for myself because I'm not into that kinda thing. Thought some BHW-ers may find this potential manipulation interesting, and if it has a value, maybe useful as well.

:) I not troll, this site their organic traffic is impressive etc the owner surely earn a lot
I like is that tool they provided
Is it a plugin for it?
Because I can use it if possible

and yes back to the topic is google search , they enhance it , i happen to see it from Adsense dashboard, I do post a thread on it
 
close one day I don't know is it too early to tell
I still don't know what it help insert this google enhance search on my site.

my earnings today lesser than yesterday perhaps only just one day insert the search bar.
 
I also used Google custom search on one of my websites.
Users used it to search content on my website. Didn`t affect my rankings, but Users had high quality search results - I had additiona revenue from AdSense:)
 
Google knows about its custom search bar. Their algo can see users that search through it so that won't increase the click through rate of searches for your website. This means that no, it won't increase your rankings because they won't be considered search engine click throughs. They are just a clean way to add a new monetization option for the website. If you have adthrive for example, you will have the website already full of ads. Only way to earn through adsense along with it is with the search bar, to avoid even more ads
 
I think that searches give only that site results that eventually leads to Amazon.. Also had ads in search results and Google ads on pages.. It is some kind automated affiliate site..
