Ok, I have an adult site that gets a bit of traffic, probably about 50 users a day. Lately i've been noticing that the vast majority of the traffic is coming from china. I know the chinese love their porn also but i'm worried that there might be something else involved. Please check this image...

i thinks its a bot viewers but if your website contains lots of china, japan contents it's normal

Check your logs. Probably is petal search bot.

The insights? Its showing "Organic Search" and they al are organic.

Most likely bot traffic. Use security and anti spam plugis if it's a wordpress site.

Check the stay time and bounce rate of Chinese traffic. If bounce rate is 100% and stay time is 0 or 1 second then it is a bot traffic for sure. Upgrade your websites security with protection plugins or use good CDN like cloudflare to stop this traffic.

It will further spoil your analytics stats if it continues like this.

A huge traffic source that comes from a particular country is suspicious even if the content is not in its own language.
Check the plugins you are currently using for your website. If you found any suspicious, just remove it and use another tool if necessary.

may i know how bots affect my site? Server overload? or what?

99% of traffic from China is bot traffic. I usually block it just for the sheer annoyance.

I run many of my sites on DirectAdmin with ConfigServer firewall and the number of brute force attacks it catches from Chinese IPs is unreal.

That is absolutely a bot traffic!

If you are using wordpress, then you can use wordfence plugin.

Any other countries do you suggest I block?
