I am looking at this video tutorial.

I am a newbie in SEO. So my question is will this work? The reason why I am asking this is that the tools used in that tutorial is expensive. I don't mind investing in those tools if it benefits me & that ROI is positive. So am I going on right path?

Yea, you will get some juice from it, it's all about the quality

Not only does it still work, it never stopped working. It's all about the quality of the links though. Authority domains / pages, good content, a few links. 1 quality link is more effective than a pyramid of 1.000 bookmark and 'web 2.0' links.

The theory behind it is simple: just emulate a 'regular' link profile ;-)

Yes this pretty much still works. The basics of SEO haven't changed.

Yeah funny isn't it? With all the smoke and mirrors Google try to fool everyone with. The basics haven't changed.

Good links from websites with a proper linkprofile hosted on multiple C-Classes and some relevant content on your website == high rankings. The rest is just fluff.

Yes, this will work for and engage more similar kind of activities help you lot for getting rank on higher position.

But this is purely black hat. All the stuff is done with automated tools. If this work & then everyone will rank? There should be something else.

Also remember to have common sense before doing SEO. Put yourself in google's shoes. Would you want to rank this website? That's what I do when building links.

Surprised Matthew Woodward hasn't arrived to start shilling for his blog yet!!! Doesn't he use Google Alerts to check for people mentioning his stuff???

To the OP though, ye tiered building does work - be watchful over anchor text diversity and link velocity though - these things can make or break a campaign in 2015.

Keep it slow and steady in the early days and ramp up once the site is old enough to take the weight.

Thanks for the advice. :)
