Does this seem like a difficult keyword to rank?

    I'm starting a new website, that I will be promoting amazon products.. now, before I make any rash decisions I decided to ask just in case so that I do not waste my time.. AGAIN!

    ahrefs.com "No results for specified domain/URL in Ahrefs index."
    PA = 47
    DA = 100

    PA = 39
    DA = 38

    PA = 1
    DA = 33

    From what I can see it seems like an easy enough keyword to rank for, 4,400 monthly searches.. the only thing that I am confused about this is that most of the domains are authority sites, so I'm unsure whether or not this keyword is worth shooting for since I'm not too good with analyzing the competition.

    Any suggestions would be very helpful, and I'm not looking to be spoonfed. I know it's a bit of a noobish question, sorry for that.

    Looks hard m8. 3rd result has 90 links to the page, PR3, aged-ish domain, pretty good TF/CF and is optimised for the KW. Moz is a JOKE and a laughing stock. They need to just quit already. Their crawler is slow, Mozcast is slow, their tips are outdated and they pander to Google pathetically.

    Well, that's my cue to go research more on the forum about seo competition analysis.
    Thanks for the reply.

    Its not a very easy keyword, but you can get there if you follow the right backlinking steps.

    It's not going to happen overnight for sure,
    you will need to put up a great fight to beat those sites.

    I also suggest you use Traffic Travis for keyword competition check along with common sense.

    Good luck..

    I agree, always cross check keyword competition with Traffic Travis, it's free for limited features but still very useful. However I find Travis lacking in finding/checking back links to your own site.

    Honestly it's hard to do now. There are hardly rules anymore. Mostly in e-commerce niches Amazon and major retailers will just come first no matter what and regardless of how much money you spend.Then there's pages ranking based on the domain's authority despite having only LSI and zero links to the page for non-commerce terms as well. Analysis seems really hit and miss it's just easy to spot stupid-hard competition...
