Does the trailing slash matter?

My website is indexed in Google as website/ and my backlinks go to website does it matter? I would change them all without the slash but some of them are indexed with the slash.

no the slash does not matter. if you look at all the G organic results they all have the slash. I never use it in my backlinks. G just adds it there as default in the results.
