Does the torrent method really work?

I can't seem to wrap my head around the idea that people are stupid enough to download some obscure ebook off a torrent site. Anyone want to share a a success story?

Why just an ebook? I believe dating ebooks were very good at one point.
 
ive tried it at a very minimal level and had no success
 
I immediately delete anything that looks incorrect. Plus I comment on the torrent thread. May work better with certain niches, though.
 
Most savvy people do delete anything.. but many don't. You'd be surprised how many don't even have antivirus.

I am Savvy, but dint care to install any AV :D.I dont find my PC working strangely or anything like that from 3 years now.I still have most of my Banking Info safe ;)
 
Meh, I thought at least one person would have a success story. Nobody at all?
 
I haven't tried anything with torrents...but be careful not to discount an idea just because you think people are too smart for it.

The one thing e-whoring has taught me is that I definitely used to give people too much credit, and I scrapped ideas because I thought "There's no way some guy would fall for this." But then I tested some of them.. and well some of them fell for it. :)

Just because you and I can usually tell when something's fishy doesn't mean most people will.
 
Dating ebook convert really great, there's ton of free money in torrents. It's true that torrent people kinda smarter than normal traffic, but you'll be surprised that there's still enough people that will do anything for you, like filling cpa offer, etc. Driving 1000 traffic from torrent is a lot easier than any other source, just be creative, how to monetize them.
 
You want a success story? Here you go. Last month I did $2500 in torrent. I submitted about 150 torrents once that month, all in the same day, under about 5 different IP's.

Various clickbank products.. no cpa, no trojans/virus, nothing locked and password protected.
 
Guys remember to be careful with torrents. Lately the gov't has been coming down hard on seeders. (see tpb and others)

Hmm... I always thought that torrents users never buy anything... seems like it's not true, right?
 
Conversions aren't that great but I'm getting about 800 hops per day, so eventually you'll catch a fish..

I've had some success.
It's pretty good for targeted traffic and ebooks when 'nicely' done, do convert well. I wrote an ebook myself a while back which I had very nicely crafted. MS Word has loads of great features to make your ebook look killer.
I've downloaded some ebooks that are shit. 5 pages packed with aff links!
An ebook that has been crafted well, will have massive 'perceived value' and will convert way better!

If you are concerned about the gov sending you to jail then all you have to do is rewrite the ebook in your own words and repackage it. (This can be outsourced to the philipines for the price of a cup of coffee, post an ad in manila and check out the responses, seriously -do it)

Ya people that use torrents are smarter than most but I was an avid torrent downloader for a couple of years and I only found out about IM a few months ago.
 
I think a good way to monetize torrents is CPA offers. But torrents users are from all over the world and most of CPA offers are only for people from US. Suggestions? :)

Can you explain what is ppi and bst? Or provide a link please.

On topic, I had also success with torrents and ebooks. Mostly selling stuff from Clickbank, it's pretty easy and it works :)
