Anyone can check out their competitors, and if you ever wondered if the "Redirect Method" works, here is you answer:

Google UK - Payday Loans

Ranking Page 2: **Advised Removal Approved** (Fresh Domain).

Throw it in majestic: 80 Redirects, and One Payday Loans Themed Pyramid Site.

Example of a redirected site:
Da:40 PA:49 CF:39 TF:22
Anchor text relationship: 33% Url, 25% Payday loans related, 42% other.

So there you go, want to rank for payday loans?

Buy 80 High Value domains, blast them with some payday loans related anchors, as well as some normal generics. Redirect them to money site.

Bank Bank Bank.

301 is working only on some cases .is not working always and not for everyone
 
I have a question regarding the redirect method, that I have seen mentioned here a lot. If this person redirects 80 urls to this new domain and then after a week the new domain gets slapped, are they then able to just redirect the 80 urls to another domain and keep repeating this same method over and over? Alternatively is there a penalty imposed on the 80 urls that make them redundant over time/after one redirect?

Interested in hearing anyones answer to this.

To answer the above yes.

I have had a site which was pretty much a churn and burn, redirected 2 times to get top spot, I've now stopped as wasn't really worth the coin it was making.

One thing I noticed was - 1st redirect took 4 days to hit page 1 again with new domain and stayed for 4 weeks 2nd redirect took less than 24 hours to hit page one and only lasted 5 days.

The benefit of multiple redirects is about to end. Bank while you can.

I did and didn't see anything special, they must have dropped those posts for me...
 
Thanks man.. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have over 30 High PR expired domains that I have in my portfolio and wanted to test the 301 redirect technique. Now I know it works.
