Who can tell me whether or not it exists whatsoever? Have your sites every been put in it? We're all doing such MASSIVE backlinking.... and yet I don't find my stuff in the sandbox....??

you can call it sandbox, supplemental index or anything else but most of the times the post "i spam my site as much as I can" followed by "why is my site disappeared from G? I have so many backlinks"
BTW, G mentioned sandbox (usually in quotes) many times in its own blogs.

Call "The Sandbox" by any name you wish. Even God has many names. A penalty does exist and Google can penalize whomever whenever they want. The sting of it, by whatever name, is just the same.

In all my testing and massive backlinking campaigns, I have never come across any large penalty of any sort.
I see so many people talking about how you can't blast more than a certain number of links at your domains because Google will ban you so on...I think this is ridiculous to be honest.
I think the worst thing Google would ever do is just ignore your site eventually if it is just a bunch of spammy-looking shit and possibly de-index it. But you won't some major ban or penalty.
As far as a "sandbox" goes...from my personal experience, there have been a few times where my sites will "disappear" from the SERPs, but it never lasts long.
In my personal opinion, all the "sandbox" really is basically is Google putting your site on the side for further analysis so to speak because maybe you triggered something that made them want to take a closer look.
In this situation, I never stop what I'm doing. I continue to build links consistently and add good content. This usually works. If I need an extra boost, I also add in some outbound links to quality authority sites.
Just those 3 things is all I have ever needed.

Here is my take...
The entire objective of Google search is to provide the searcher with the closest match of what they had in their mind to find when they began the very search itself.
PERIOD.
They want to take an internet full of websites, organize them into proper indexes, and then stick them in your face in order to match your personal desire at the moment.
Why the FUCK would they care what kind of links you've got, as long as your page or website is a LEGITIMATE MATCH and isn't completely fucking dog shit for the user to experience?
I don't think having 100,000 comment links matters whatsoever at all.
AS LONG AS YOUR PAGE IS QUALITY.
If anything, Google should be sending lots of us nice big thank you notes and expensive gifts for taking the time to give them highly relevant, highly targetted, well written, stylish websites that deserve fucking awards.
And for all those losers out there that just "throw up" little thin pieces of shit (I'm talking those one page sites with less than 300 words, no images, no media), why even bother?
It's becoming clearer and clearer to me by reading case studies, and stories, and on and on and on from people that the major issue is the quality of the website.
Think Google Adwords quality score. It's ALL ABOUT the relevancy and adequacy of the content.
Think about it....

yes, it does... I built 150 high pr links to one of my sites (main page only) and it was deindexed in the next week... never came back (been 3-4 months)
I've got a brand new site only a couple of weeks old that I have created almost 15k links to in a very short time. All it's doing is moving up in SERPs. I'm trying to gain hundreds of links a day with it. I would have more except I had computer problems preventing me.
I think the perceived fear is not an actual sandbox but the google dance.
I have another site that has 300 links and is over month old and it disappeared from the top 75 pages but was ranked at number 11 a few days ago. Sandbox? No I think it's just getting re-indexed and will pop back up in another day or two.

So when you search with the operator site:domain.com it doesn't show up?
I've never heard of a site being de-indexed for 3-4 months unless something is seriously wrong. I've had new sites de-indexed for a couple of weeks but then they pop right back up.

In all honesty the only thing I got from that article was that the author, Grizz, still thinks it's OK to set up as many comment backlinks as we want! LOL
Unfortunately I sensed a great deal of inordinate fear in the attitude of the writer.... and as for when he had to deal with adsense stopping his ad service (or whatever happened) WHAT THE FUCK do you expect when you're making courses for the whole world to see on how to "dominate google" and selling templates for it and all of this nonsense. LOL
Griz seems experienced and all of that... but again... I got the impression he was like "I'm done... I'm cashing in... I'm financially free... time to play golf..."
It sort of turned me off...
