Traffic to a site especially unique traffic and how long they stay on your site is one of the 100 or so factors that makes up the Google algorithm. The first thing to do to your site is onpage SEO which means at least 250 words of unique content for each page and keyword density of about 1% with H1, H2 tage of your keywords. Also, add a sitemap and a Google xml sitemap. Once you do that, start working on backlinks.

I don't have a site map because its pretty simple where links go its just a main nav. so should I still add one? I have done some on site seo I have my keywords in a H1 and title tag and in the body text they are in strong tags. anything more I should do?

How do I make a site map? (I will google this but if you can quickly explain that would be grateful)

If you are using wordpress, it is pretty easy, search under plugins for google sitemap, and activate it and follow the instructions there to submit to google. By the way don't overuse strong tags, do it only if it is really necessary. I saw a recent video from google webmaster mentioning about it.

Definitely get a sitemap and submit it to G webmaster tools, maybe it's just me but my new sites get picked up much quicker if they're on my account. I use http://xml-sitemaps.com because my sites are all static HTML/CSS.

EVERYTHING affects how well your site ranks. there are hundreds of factors, and unique visitors is definitely one of them.

Thanks guys for the reply's I have submitted a xml sitemap to web master tools and now I am trying the SEsniper 1.5 tool to search for my keywords and click on my site im not sure if it will work, everyone on this forum said its sh1t lol and you get a high bounce rate. Why would that affect your rankings?
