Does .store rank better than .com for ecommerce :)?

From an seo perspective, no. Either can outrank the other, based on several seo factors.

Although a .com is seemed still to be the more credible TLD by people, but that's down to their own perception too.

How does TLDs reputation effect SERPs?

I have a .gg domain, which are almost always extremely high quality game-related sites. Yet technically .gg is for some British islands somewhere. How would my results differ with a standard .com?

It depends what country you're targeting. If you have a geo-location TLD like .co.uk and your audience is the USA you're really shooting yourself in the foot.

However non-geo TLD's like .store really don't matter, just look amateur in the eyes of users. This will probably change as people get used to it though.
 
U can buy any domain u want ..its equal in Google's eyes... But to general user .com is trusted one

Thanks. Hopefully I am fine since my users are from across the globe (though mainly english speaking). I would just hope their would be some benefit though, just since .gg websites are very reputable.
 
Actually .[name] can play a role in rankings i am telling this out of practise i used .online and outranked all competitors in a 2 weeks. But dont know how exactly i did that, so i hope it was about the domain suffix
 
Personally, it's a rarity that I buy anything that's not from a ".com" or other TLD. I don't even go to sites that are .info, .realtor, .store, .xyz. They are not "real" and legitimate domain extensions in my eyes.

Yeah, all my domains are .com, even when the domain I'm looking for with exact match is available in another extension like .org or .net, I preferrer to add a prefix/suffix in order to get a .com. In SEO there is no real difference, but in terms of branding, a .com is the most powerful domain and it has been like this for decades.

If it's for a PBN or a churn and burn, the extension is irrelevant, unless the extension is a .tk
 
I don't think that Google cares a lot about TLDs. Doesn't make sense to penalize a great site just because it doesn't have a .com TLD. If they do that and users can't find the top quality content in the first page, eventually they will switch to Bing.
 
When i see a domain that is not dot com i usually think something fishy is going on, people who use different domains for spam give a bad rep to those domains.
