you get sitelinks by ranking well, not the other way around. and i'm pretty sure its automatic (had some shitty sites get it)

yeah automatic.

You get them when your site is aged a bit and has a good structure and the site has good interlinking on it.

It doesn't linked with good site linking or anything

1 - Yes sitelinks shows credibility in business
2 - to achieve sitelinks you need to have inner pages promoted and back linked too
