Does semrush estimate actual traffic or potential traffic?

For example if Semrush shows that's a site gets $2,000 a month in SEO traffic, does it simply mean 2k in potential traffic or does that amount also reflect based on likely clicks due to ranking positions?

For example do you think Semrush will show higher value for a website who's keyword has a position in number 3 vs. Position 6 which are both technically on page 1 or do you think Semrush views the top 5 or top 9 positions as the same traffic value?

I hope this wasn't too confusing a question but I'm not sure how to better word it.

Thanks!

It's calculated. They multiple the number of searches by the estimated percentage ctr of that position

my website (in arabic language ) rank 2 for a keyword
my competitor rank 1 for the same keyword .
semrush shows that i got much more traffic than him and its actually true .
mostly because i have much longer articles and therefore much long tail keywords
