Would like a bit of input from people who have experience of this. I have a website thats ranking well for ten + terms. I want to build it out to thirty + secondary terms so I have started to run a few adwords campaigns. Bit of a learning curve for me and doubtless I am wasting money to start with.

What I am worried about is that I have been told that once I start spending a set daily amount with adwords theres a good chance my organic listings will be penalised in an effort to make me spend more money on paid search.

Unfortunately sounds right but would like to hear from people with experience of same ?

Your theory is wrong, rankings does not affect with advertising at all. I have been expertise in this field for more than 5 years, and personally I have been in touch with adwords representatives, since one of my friend works there.

You can advertise in adwords, and it does not affect the seo rankings at all.

If paying to advertise your site gives you ranking you don't return to pay for another campaign. I think for Google it's only marketing

There is no relation between them they treat both differently
