I know a lot of mates from Africa who did this even before reels got introduced to IG. Basically, they re-shared content to IG, trying to get followers, then selling the accounts.

I was out of the game for some time, and wondering if this still works on let's say IG & TikTok?

Is there still a decent market for developed accounts (a few thousand followers)?

obviously not. Very outdated. They will never accept this. you'd have to remove metadata and twist everything. Would need some manual work.. and even with that, you cant be sure.

that strategy is kinda outdated now bro, ig and tt become much stricter with duplicate and recycled content. Only reuploading videos won’t get the same reach like before. anw, there still a small market for aged or niche accounts but i have to say the chance is really small

Yes it does, but you need to understand everything they put in place to spot duplicate content. Then you can tweak every variable to make it appear unique. It's complex but nothing impossible.

they say original on tiktok and repost to ig

Yes, many agencies do it. However just make sure that when you repost content; make sure that you change the meta data and hash so the posts show up as "unique" and can get exposure on the explore page.

No it doesn't work and since instagram can detect this you have a chance of getting shadow banned,

For now, you need to change the 1st 3 seconds of the video before cross-upload to another platform, even if it's from Meta

changing first seconds and captions usually works for theme pages

Reuploading is way too risky now because platforms are getting so aggressive with copyright strikes and original content requirements. You’re better off building a brand that actually provides value because selling mid-tier accounts isn't as lucrative as it used to be

It still works to some extent, but it’s not as easy as before. Both ig and tt are much better now at detecting reposted or duplicate content, be careful bro.

Platforms got WAY better at spotting reused clips. If you actually edit it a bit (cut, hook, captions, etc.) you can still grow pages.

Selling small accounts is still possible, just not as easy money as it used to be.

I think you will need to make some edits so the software thinks it's different. I see big brands and big names doing it so it works but maybe different rules applies to brands
