Does Replying to Comments Help Instagram Rank?

I'm asking this for an account that's been inconsistent but legitimate

I need to get the activity and rank of page up. It has great content tht's unique to the account

By "rank" I assume you mean reaching the explore page and showing up in your followers feed. Yes, comments & likes certainly help as they count as engagement and this is what IG likes to see.
