Say you have an ecommerce site and a blog on it

Blog focuses on quality content and news articles in the industry. Assuming the quality stays good does it even matter if you post two or three times a month versus once a month or do you think links will still be the main factor anyway. I.e. may as well post once a month.

    Thanks

Post frequency matters more for returning visitors. If you have an audience who expects new content every week, then they'll come back every week to read that content. If you stop posting weekly and start posting monthly, the audience might forget about your site or become confused about the change.

There is no perfect answer, its complete dependent on your audience. There are pro's and cons for both strategy!

Aim for quality rather than pumping out posts for the sake of it. If that means one a month, then so be it.

I would say post at least two or three times per month to keep any visitors/customers on their toes. If they come to your site and check the blog before buying and see you have not updated in awhile, it may discourage them from buying.

I read that you should try and post 1 quality a post a day to better rank in google, not sure if this is 100% accurate or not though.
