Yes, I've been wondering... I've searched the forums and even in Google but couldn't find an exact answer.

There are some whom claim their site was blacklisted/deindexed by Google because of submitting to "bad" pligg sites.
Some claim their SERPs leaped hugely forward despite submitting to various types of pligg sites (bad or good).

It's no different from forums - auto approved pligg sites are full of porn/viagra spam and posting there definitely won't help your site. Moderated / high PR sites should give your site a boost.

The only thing most pligg sites are good for is getting your sites indexed. If you're using software like BMD to submit to hundreds of them, try to clear out the PR 0 to 2 sites and post to PR 3 and higher. The PR 2 and lower ones generally dissapear in 2-3 months anyway, along with any backlinks you've created.
