Does paying for ads kill organic reach?

Just curious as to if you pay for ads will fb kill your organic reach.

Thus trying to make you pay for engagement instead?

No it does it. From what I seen in the past (Have not used FB ads in more than a year) it used to help my reach. For some reason, my organic reach was up 34% when I was running an ad on my page vs when I was not running any ads.

For smaller pages, I used to run ads at $3 a day just to keep my organic reach higher.

Definitely not, that would not be nice tactic from them, would it people would catch on and they would complain...
