Does paraphrasing content really rank for dropshipping stores?

Hello blackhat friends!

I hope you all are good today!

I have a sexshop with + 12 000 articles, but the product descriptions of these articles are also used on other dropshipping stores. I guess this will prevent me from ranking?
Will paraphrasing the product descriptions be a possible solution?

What do you suggest?

Thanks for helping me out!

Warm regards,
CC

I rephrased a client's shop and caused miracles. His beauty shop, mainly skin care and body lotions, has 250 products. His initial product descriptions were about 1000 words long - just copy and paste. After rephrasing: 900-1100 words. After 4-6 weeks, 18 products are ranking really well in top 3 positions. He bought for his shop an expired domain.

You definitely need a certain basis for the product description. Just rephrasing 200-500 word descriptions won't have any effect.

I guess that you did all rephrasing by hand through copy paste :)?
May I ask in which language your clients' website is :)?

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

You could use Jasper to rewrite the whole stuff instead
Just use the same headlines over and over again. Each time, you'll get a different output.

No, not manual by hand. All automatically with GPT-3 from openai. Have proofread about 100 articles. Only had to change minimal wording. The trick is: rephrase with openai, pick some articles, do some proofread and wait some days. If articles get better ranking, proofread and make the readability perfect. The shop is in english, UK based.

Can you estimate how much he paid for that domain?
700$, DR 57, ~11.000 Backlinks. Domain history was also in health niche.

I have a dropshipping website and I'm rewriting all the descriptions without any tools as I tried various ones and some just didn't make sense and it was taking a long time to edit the rephrased content into something that made sense.

But Jasper does not have an API which means you will have to do everything manually :)?

If your product descriptions are on websites other than your own, this may cause problems with Google's ranking of your site. If you want to rank highly on Google, you must fix all of them to make it distinct and original.
