Does paid traffic help to rank?

A website rank doesn’t depends upon the traffic it gets. It is all about following the methods given by google in a way to approach them using lots of techniques.

I don’t think so I would avoid that kind of traffic for a money site

Bot traffic has absolutely 0 effect on your Rankings. Basically, people overrate "traffic" as a factor. Google don't care even for your real traffic. Except traffic you get from Search and maybe Paid Search from Google Ads. That's the only practical data for them. They don't care about your social or direct traffic. Behavioral Data from search or paid search can tell how satisfied was user by this answer for their query and to clarify how relevant is this piece of content/document/file for the exact query. "Social" traffic don't say anything practical.

No doubt absolutely it increase your traffic rate once the conversion occurs through that ads and google does not detect bot traffic

Dreaming is good but day dreaming is harmful to your website.

High risk, low reward. SEO shortcuts really don’t exist.

I suggest to avoid this kind of traffic, its risk to use and will not help in the long term. Better focus to get.quality traffic.
