i try my best to minimize my digital footprint for other reasons
yes, google et al have big catalog of all your search queries etc. only solution is simply use something else. or obfuscate with fake accounts and vpn's. then when you dig into the meat of it, your phone is monitoring anything and everything too. every email you send, sms, instant message, website you visit.
i think we can all remember the story of someone in Uk searching pressure cookers and getting visits from police. or people posting stupid threats on twitter and get visit from fbi. can simply avoid that by not doing stupid stuff (threatening people online). even threads on bhw, some people are obviously breaking some criminal law. who is to say in future there won't be police algorithm to scan everything to find correlations and assign an agent to investigate you.
i remember when petitions for privacy online was coming around to the forefront, there was a boon in chrome extensions that would search random queries automatically every few seconds in order to add a mass amount of noise to your search history.
anyway i take it seriously for other reasons. crazy ex girlfriends, enemies, stalkers. you never know who you will cross paths with that has 0 to do with your internet marketing life.
just be smart about what youre doing. i was reading last week the court affidavit of Rui-Siang Lin, the guy who owned popular dark net market "incognito market". he made hundreds of millions in crypto from it, and used the same wallet to buy a domain on namecheap that was registered with his real name and address. oops!
