Does number of articles affect SEO?

Hey folks,

So i have been learning that Search Engines rank pages and not websites. So if that is the case technically a website with just 1 good article could rank?
I can understand that having more articles increases the overall traffic but does that improve your other pages' SEO as well? Can someone explain how?

Spamdexing sites rank due the large amount of pages they host.
So, yes, the amount of pages does improve your ranking factor (i.e. highest amount of posts interlinking).
One page sites could only rank for local SEO at best.
 
Oh i had no idea , so its not just having content is also linking internally between them .
 
Not only article alone will rank or increase the traffic. There are many factors will increase the site ranking. Even with less than 300 words article will rank higher. It depends mostly on metrics, niche and keyword.

dont assume that if you increase your number of articles will help you with ranking. it won't. often times you create competing articles for similar keyword, which leads to confusing google into figuring out which page to rank. so do not create multiple articles about "best red apple".
 
Yes, in my niche, all authority websites have more than 1000 high quality articles and they ranks better with less or no backlink

If you do a correct internal linking for sure it helps to have more internal content to support your money pages by liking it with keywords

Sort of. The more quality articles (keyword quality) you have the more traffic you will get. The more traffic you get in the eyes of Google you are a legit website with value, thus in return boosting your other pages

Google prefers unique content always the top.
 
I didn't the difference between a 200 pages site and a 5000 pages site. But it is only my experience.

Important It is not to forget to make the interlinking.

Your site content or article approximately 1456. So be aware of choosing that.

Search Engines give ranking based on the site's activities.
Activities mean,
1. Regular Update
2. Traffics from Social media
3. Social Media Activities
4. Mainly use infographics.

Yes.
Important Factors to be considered:
1. Low competition Keywords
2. Lengthy and original content
3. If it is very informative, share it on niche related groups
4. Share related images on Instagram

Strong link building is also essential nowadays.
 
Try to keep process natural. I believe 3-4 articles per day or even 2-3 per day will be more than enough.

Interlinking to create silos is great for sure.

Congrats on the upgrade, 50+ posts on Saturday to get to 100 must have taken some serious effort.

Longform content is ideal for sites, thinking 3k+ words per article.
It's easier to rank for 100 keywords from a 5k article than it is from a 500word one.

Thanks to all for the feedback it is clear now, more blog posts (unique , interlinking) would help SEO also seems that longer posts are also much better,

As you quoted, website with one good article could rank? As search engines rank pages on different keywords and now a whole website.

As seen one page websites do also rank on SERP's for some targeted keywords, generally on local or low competition keywords.

But, Have good amount of content on the website helps in creating that website as an authority in the niche. And more articles equals to more Target keywords, more interlinking opportunity, more link building opportunity and eventually equals to higher seo rankings and more traffic to the website.
