I have read posts about how 'nofollow' doesnt help your site rank. Do they mean 'pagerank (PR)' or "SERP" in this case?

Hell, i have even read people saying 'nofollow' is just a myth. I am kidnda confused.

So in general, if 'nofollow' doesnt help you rank AT ALL, does that mean all my scrapebox blast are pointless? (i dont really care about pagerank, i just want my site to rank higher in local search).

Please advise. Thank you.

The aim of the game is to make your link building look as natural as possible to the SE. If you had all ******** links then it would not look natural, agreed?

Therefore having NoFollow links does help and is an important part of link building.

some would say that no follow would not help you rank however a link is still a link. It may be a nofollow but when a visitor from that site clicks that link, it will still be another visitor for u.

Yes it does help. Not so much for pagerank but for targetting of keywords it is superb. The only thing is that it is only usefull if you use the right anchor text.

I think it just means they don't pass any link juice. They are still good links to have, just not very effective .

It's kind of like an adsense marketer that evens out his ctr with junk traffic, just gotta make it look natural while your benefiting in the background.

I have been in the seo business for years and l have always found a mix of links is the best method

hrm google themselves have said no follow links have no effect on rankings

Of course it help on your SERP's. And having a website without any NF link would not look very natural anyway!

I Hav nofollow links visible in yahoo site explorer, so that should mean that even nofollow links count

Nofollow link is worthless for seo ;) However, it do count, because meybe you will get some visitors with it. :D

if Nofollow link dont worth then all ******** websites might be spammed to death...
