No, it's because if someone has success with a seller, they don't want to give up something that could bring them more competition.

You went for quality over quantity those are spammy links I doubt you’ll get any help from them, and if your site survives it’s impact then disavow some of them

Most of those reviews are from review copies or non Jr. VIP buyers. I don't really trust reviews from non-Jr.VIP and even some you can't trust fully.
And I'm not saying nobody gives up their sellers cause of that, but it's a big reason IMO.

Well no follow links do not help as much. One scenario in which they are helpful is that if they bring traffic to your website. Otherwise almost no benefit.

This looks bad... with that money you could have gone for a PBN or traffic blogs.. those would have proven effective... also remember to go for quality ones than quantity... the links also have to relevant to your site or else it is just a waste of good money and time

No follow links helps bring you traffic but not much SEO value. Combination of both do follow and no follow links could be better and ensure the quality of the sites

from the looks of it, sounds like you got a bunch of spammy links. no-f links don't help your site rank but site traffic will be counted. be more cautious from next time.
