Do I buy any expired domains with good backlinks or just the ones that is related to my niche?

If I have a finance website and found a fashion blog with good backlink, should i purchase it and 301 redirect?

Or will I get penalize because fashion isn't related to my content of my finance website?

It 100% doesn't matter. Unless the domain was in the same exact niche, it won't make a difference. I keep hearing people say "Hey I picked a health related domain and I'm going to use it for my health site" Penis enlargement and hair loss are both considered "health" niches. Do you really think for a minute that you'll pass more juice to your penis enlargement site from a hair loss website than from an old software company? Nope, it'll pass the same link juice.

Nevermind the relevancy, you'll create it yourself by writing an article around your keyword (with maybe a couple of filler articles closely related to your keyword).

Oh, I almost forgot. Don't bother using 301's, that doesn't work anymore.

It matters indeed and it can affect your seo also in a negative way.
I recommend to stick with the niche of your domain BL's.
Google is really strict nowadays and they probably penalize things like that.
Do not redirect it to your moneysite.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Have you ever built a PBN?

If you're also using content from the previous site, then it makes sense to do so, however it's not the be all and end all if you use it for a different niche.

not helpful in 301 redirection. if fashion blog is ranked on "blue nail art" and you are going to redirect on "finance blog" it will not more helpful .
if expired domain is ranking on your niche related keyword then it will be awesome to redirect it on your website.

Don't do a redirect, that only works if you have a domain with pretty much the exact same niche as the website that you are in; If you ahve a meat grinder review site, and you have a domain called meat grinder reviews than you can 301 it.

But for domains with unrelated niches you can still put it in your PBN.

It does matter (: If you do nike on what was previously owned by nike, the links will be super relevant. Google does do "Link juice dampening" you most likely won't get penalized but there are big boosts to get and there's also power to be lost, at the end of the day, you'll still have power.

Sure You Can buy niche related or same niche.

Don't need different niche back links and 301 redirection so just leave it this method.

Yeah, You will get penalize :)

If you think about it this way. If the expired domain has a great backlink profile, if you keep it within your niche then it will be easier to convert and you will have to do less work. For google, meh.

Please listen to LuckyCharm, niche doesn't matters and it wont make ur site penalize for that.
How i know?
Because i built my own pbn which is totally irrelevant niche and its doing good!

Lol...
google put relevancy above authority...

so it's better use some niche related domain for your PBN and your moneysite...
yeah, link juice still flawing but google will check first if that domain have related niche with their content...
if they related, then chance getting page one higher...
of course, it;ll better if relevant and high authority too.

remember how rankmybrain work....

That's exactly what I said. Unless you find a domain in the same exact niche you are, you're not going to get any extra link juice. By the way, tech isn't a niche, neither is health. Those aren't niches.
