Does Negative SEO Work?

Negative SEO is counter-productive.

It’s like running a high street fashion outlet then setting fire to your competition because they’re selling more clothes than you.

Why not find the topics on their site that’s generating traffic, and research and rewrite them yourself; but better.

Find the links they’re building and build some of your own.

Besically respond to the healthy competition, healthily, and up your game. That Will be a far more productive use of your time.

What you are looking for is ORM, just secure more branded domains, throw some sites up with content, each with all their own socials/parasites, and push it down.

This is not a negative seo attack on your properties, simply someone saying things on their site that you need to outrank with more things.

ORM? I can't find much information about it.

But, I'll keep looking... Thanks!

I have a service website (a specific niche, such as lawyers or psychologists, plumbers) and a forum about "opinions of... (lawyers, plumbers, etc..)" .. it's bugging me, since it appears in the first positions.

I need to do something to lower it. So I'm looking for solutions.

I have questions :
Does Negative SEO Work?

They say it doesn't work anymore and even helps your SEO?
What is "Negative SEO"?
Does anyone make or sell the links?
How much is it?

Thanks
I don't know if it works or not, I guess it can work, but it's not something I would use or would recommend you using it. In general, Negative SEO refers to the use of some malicious tactics on competitors' sites to damage their reputation on Google and steal search engine rankings for important keywords. So, the point is in ruining your competitors which can't be good.

It doesn't work.

Today, most websites are completely safe from negative SEO attacks. Google has gotten pretty good at catching spammy backlink blasts, so these types of attacks are unlikely to influence your rankings even if they happen.

I do believe their is negative SEO, and you can start blasting the said forum/site with low quality backlinks and make sure to use the same IP address in doing that. Add low quality content especially at the bottom of your pages and make the site load very slow by adding irrelevant plugins/scripts. This way you can definitely bring down the site to maybe 2nd page.

No, it doesn't. Despite what some people might say, negative SEO doesn't work.

I am currently running numerous experiments with different expired domains as PBN and if the history is not completely clean, some domains are toxic and damage the ranking. So negative SEO works (unfortunately).

It doesn't work. All the spammy links will count zero. Google fixed that years ago.
Maybe if the website is a brand new one the website might be in the sandbox for a longer time. But not sure about this one.

Ofc it works. Not spammy links, but slowly by adding cheap pbn links (which almost always kill ur rankings).

What also may be bad and effective, are contextual Fiverr links. Just watch out for some "this good backlink sir. contextual links sir. Good rankings sir".

Basically everything that could kill your rankings works for negative seo. Because Google cant know if it was you or someone else.

Its also clear, that not all know what to do in such Situation. Not all check backlinks often. Sure you could fix that if you see it. But one who isnt checking rankings all day, can be target of negative SEO.
